Short update, i got my first job at CCP as a concept artist for Eve Online!

Big thanks to everyone following and particularly the guy who posted my work on Reddit (Altrue i think?), you provided a lot of great motivation to get to this point and helped me score a pretty dream job at a studio i've admired for a few years.

I'll be unavailable for commissions for a while till i get settled in and used to working at a studio, but i'll probably be available again some time after christmas.

I'm re-opening commissions with some big bumps to the prices - my main goal right now is trying to develop a portfolio to get a full time studio job, but i've been getting messages asking when i'll be open again, so the deal is more cash to get me to work on your stuff over my own portfolio stuff. The compromise is stuff of a much higher quality, as you can see in the post!

Loose speed painting (minimal background, minimal rendering, based upon a single subject per image) ~ £90


Finished concept (Rendered, coloured, no background, based on one subject). ~ £150




Full illustration (Fully rendered, posed/action, background) - ~ £300-500

If you wish to include more than one subject (More characters, more vehicles) then we will negotiate that.

Payment via paypal. If i've not worked with you before, then i'll ask for 50% up front as a form of deposit. High res and PSDs will be released upon full payment.

To speed things up, include any references and images you feel would be helpful in your request.

My friend David Kaye is open to commissions, he's a very good character artist and a huge super hero fan, so if that stuff tickles your biscuits get in contact and throw some money at him for art, his sketches are great.

Some guidelines so you know what to expect:

These rates are for sci-fi work, mostly concepts of infantry/vehicles/mechs/spacecraft. I'm not comfortable enough with my ability in other areas to charge for them yet.

My environment skills also aren't very strong, so i wouldn't encourage you to commission a mostly environment piece.


To give you an idea of what that means on a per image basis:
